Jon Bostock

Jon Bostock
As Group CEO Jon is responsible for finance, HR, administration and facilities within the PM Group as well as managing special projects. Thanks to his knowledge of the legal sector and his wider business knowledge from his previous accountancy roles in accountancy, Jon is well placed to spot and capitalise on opportunities within the sector.
As a qualified Chartered Accountant ,Jon previously held senior roles in both national and local independent accounting firms. In 2003, he made the switch to the legal sector, joining PM Law, initially as Group Head of Finance and Administration. He later progressed to become a Partner and Group CEO.
As the group continues to grow, Jon leads the long-term strategy aimed at improving the synergies between the different businesses within the group. To do this, he works closely with the senior management team as well as the owners and senior managers of the group businesses.

Harvey is a highly experienced Property Law solicitor. As Group Managing Director and part of the Executive Team, he is jointly responsible for formulating and delivering on the group strategy. Harvey is a member of the Law Society Property & Private Client Sections and is committed to ensuring clients receive a seamless, straightforward, quality service.
Harvey has worked in the legal profession for over 20 years and qualified as a solicitor in 2001. Upon joining the firm, Harvey launched our residential conveyancing business, PM Property Lawyers, which now operates nationally. He later became Group Managing Director to support in shaping the future strategy of the business.
Having built and grown PM Property Lawyers from scratch, Harvey is now focused on applying the learnings from that business to our conveyancing umbrella firm partners to make the most of the opportunities within their businesses. As Group Managing Director, Harvey’s broader remit now includes contributing to the overall group strategic plan and a wide range of specific projects across the group.
Harvey was co-founder of the UK Legal Tech Association (UKLTA), the Sheffield Legal Hackers and Unconventional Legal (a legal tech consultancy and events business) and a former director of the Conveyancing Association.
Outside of work, Harvey is an active charity fundraiser and in recent years has completed the London Marathon as well as the Ride London 100-mile cycle sportive and Swim Serpentine events, raising thousands of pounds for local charities in the process.
Richard Helsby

Richard Helsby
Richard oversees the function of the PI department at PM Law. This includes clinical negligence, civil resolution and litigation and wills, trusts & probate. Richard ensures these departments work to the best of their ability and meet client expectations.
Richard started his current role in December 2020 having previously been responsible for the litigation department in Proddow Mackay. He’s been with the PM Law Group for over 25 years.
The most important part of Richard’s role is ensuring that clients receive the exceptional service that they’ve come to expect from PM Law. Richard gets a lot of enjoyment out of making the work lives of his colleagues better – he sees this as an effective way of getting the best out of them.
The fact that the business is dynamic and ever-changing means Richard is always having to adapt, keeping things fresh and exciting. His role means that he always needs to be looking ahead and has to stay agile so that the business can evolve as required.
Richard is a lifelong supporter of Liverpool FC and is a season ticket holder for Warrington Wolves RLFC. He’s also a keen runner and recently completed the Leeds marathon.

Sabyta Kaushal is a highly skilled and experienced Director / Solicitor at PM Law. With her extensive knowledge and expertise in the field, Sabyta has become a respected figure in handling catastrophic and serious injury claims, including those arising from clinical negligence.
Sabyta graduated from the esteemed College of Law Chester, where she acquired a solid foundation in legal principles and practices. Following her graduation, she joined PM Law Ltd in 1990, embarking on a remarkable career dedicated to fighting for justice on behalf of her clients. In 2019, Sabyta was appointed as Assistant Coroner in the Derby and Derbyshire area.
Recognising the significant impact that catastrophic injuries can have on individuals and their families, Sabyta is committed to providing comprehensive support beyond legal representation. She is well-versed in coordinating rehabilitation assistance for her clients, facilitating access to the necessary medical and therapeutic services to aid in their recovery and improve their quality of life. Ryan leads the day-to-day operations of PM Law. This includes, ensuring adherence to policy protocols/standard operating procedures and to develop and drive the company’s future policy protocols/standard operating procedures. Alongside the PM Law Managing Director, Ryan oversees the Company’s operational performance against annual targets and develop contingencies. This includes identifying areas of the business with Management Information where improvements are required to enable the business to improve efficiencies and deliver MI as appropriate to be acted upon.
Ryan is an experienced Legal Services Operations professional, having started his career in the legal industry in 2000. The experience Ryan has obtained across the legal services sector has allowed him to be successful in running teams/departments. This includes delivering elevated levels of customer service, achieve financial performance in accordance with business strategy and provide a high quality of work in a heavily regulated industry.
Having previously worked for PM law earlier in Ryan’s career, the opportunity to return and work here was really enticing for Ryan. Ryan really enjoys supporting colleagues in their roles, by providing an environment in which they have the opportunity to succeed to the best of their ability. Outside of work, Ryan is an avid supporter of Sheffield Wednesday Football Club and hold a season ticket with his family. Additionally, Ryan also has a passion for boxing, where he enjoys attending boxing events around the country.

Simon Osborne is a highly skilled and compassionate solicitor at PM Law, specialising in representing injured parties in the recovery of damages resulting from the negligence of another party. With extensive experience in personal injury law, Simon is dedicated to assisting individuals during challenging times in their lives, offering support and recovering damages to help them move forward.
Simon was admitted as a Solicitor on the 1st of May, 2002, and joined PM Law to complete his training. Since then, he has been committed to delivering exceptional legal services to his clients. Simon’s diligence, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication enable him to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients in every case he handles.
Simon firmly believes in the importance of actively listening to his clients. He understands that each individual has unique requirements and needs when seeking legal assistance.

Tim is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and an integral member of the Department. His expertise and experience in brain and head injury claims work has been recognised by Headway, the leading brain injury charity, as a member of the Headway Solicitors Directory.
Tim joined the business in 2000 and, further to qualifying as a solicitor in 2004, he subsequently became a Director.
Tim has a proven track record of successfully litigating complex liability and quantum claims, including those that arise from road traffic accidents. He has acted for claimants with catastrophic life-changing injuries, helping them to achieve significant settlements, running into seven figures. Tim also has considerable experience in claims arising from accidents abroad where issues of jurisdiction arise.
Right from the start of his career, Tim has been committed to the cause of accident victims, fearlessly taking on cases that other firms have turned down when he feels strongly that there is a case to be won. He’s motivated to maximising compensation for claimants and also in seeking to secure funds for treatment to help secure the best possible recovery from their injuries.
Outside of his busy work life, Tim likes to keep active, exercising and travelling regularly when possible. He also enjoys relaxing by reading or cooking.

Ceri manages and is responsible for the operational and technical performance of the personal injury litigation team. Her role includes ensuring the team delivers legal advice in a timely manner as well as making sure the client’s expectations are met. Ceri also provides legal, technical and tactical support as well as training to encourage the development of her team.
Ceri studied Law at the University of Manchester before studying the LPC at the University of Sheffield, followed by a Training Contract. She qualified as a Solicitor in November 2008 and joined PM Law in December 2009. Shortly after this, in January 2010, Ceri became an RTA Team Supervisor. Since then, she has also been the RTA Litigation Team Leader and became the RTA Litigation Team Manager in November 2019. In March 2022, Ceri became an Associate Director of PM Law Limited.
Ceri Shaw is a dedicated and ambitious professional who sought to join a reputable Personal Injury firm in Sheffield, with the goal of fostering personal growth and expanding her knowledge in the field. Samantha manages a team of six talented individuals who deal with Dispute Resolution, Employment, Wills, Trusts & Probate and Landlord & Tenant matters. She also handles the day-to-day conduct of a number of higher value civil litigation matters with the aim of settling or resolving disputes between parties, whether individuals or businesses, to achieve a fair and amicable outcome for our clients.
Samantha started as a legal secretary in dispute resolution in 1997 and became a Paralegal in 2000. She qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in September 2003 and has practiced civil litigation for her entire career. Samantha then became a supervisor in August 2004 and has managed a team of experienced lawyers since 2018.
Samantha loves the culture at PM Law and gets a lot of satisfaction from getting positive results for our valued clients. Sam also takes great pride in supporting and helping the members of her team develop. This is also what she considers the most important part of her role – ensuring her team have the support they need to achieve their individual goals.
Sam loves travelling and spending time with her family. She also has a fantastic group of friends that she’s very grateful for – they fill her life with fun and there’s never a dull moment with them.

In April 2023, Paolo joined PM Law as a Civil Litigator, managing his own caseload of small claims under the direction of Richard Helsby and Samantha Ibrahim.
Paolo graduated with his Diploma in Legal Practice in 2019 while working as a court-based volunteer for a year, assisting Litigants in Person (Support Through Court). In January 2019, he started his first role as a fee earner, where he began managing his own small claims caseload. Paolo then went to the UKVI (UK Visa and Immigration) in May 2022 as part of the civil service, where he worked as a workflow manager. His main responsibility was the operational delivery of the humanitarian visa caseload for the Home For Ukraine Scheme
Paolo really appreciates the support of his team, going as far as to say that this is his favourite thing about his role. He loves learning from his professional, well-experienced colleagues. When asked about what the most important part of his role is, Paolo thinks it’s the people he helps. He gets a lot of satisfaction from supporting his clients with their problems and doing everything he can to get a positive outcome for them. In terms of what clients can expect from Paolo, he strives to approach every task with a positive, professional attitude and has amazing attention to detail. When not busy helping clients, Paolo loves going for walks in the Peak District with family. He also really enjoys having dinner with friends whenever possible.

Rebekah deals with various kinds of clients as a solicitor. She currently works within Dispute Resolution and Employment Law in order to develop her knowledge of both areas of law, and help clients to achieve their desired outcome. Rebekah takes pride in being able to help others.
Rebekah graduated from the University of Huddersfield in 2021 with her LLB and Masters of Legal Practice. Rebekah has worked within the PM Group since leaving University, where she started as an assistant with PM Property Lawyers, and later went on to manage her own caseload in 2022. She then started her training contract in 2023, where she moved to the John M Lewis office in Derby, and has now qualified as a Solicitor in 2025.
Outside of work, Rebekah enjoys spending time with her family and her dogs. She also enjoys watching and performing in musicals, following Formula One, and supporting Chesterfield FC.

Hannah is an assistant to our Litigation Executive specialising in Landlord & Tenant and Property Litigation in the Civil Litigation department.
Hannah started working in the legal profession in 2020, moving to PM Law in August 2021. Hannah’s chosen area is Civil Litigation, where she would like to progress and complete her paralegal qualification and then further to this, her Legal Executive qualification.
When given the opportunity, Hannah wanted to broaden her legal experience and had a big interest in Civil Litigation. With how accommodating and supportive Sam and her team were to Hannah, she felt like she was already part of the PM Law family. Hannah enjoys taking any stress off people when she can. She takes any workload she can off a member of the team to help keep everything organised and flowing as smoothly as possible. Hannah likes helping clients and loves having a feeling of satisfaction.

Lauren deals with various aspects including capturing new enquiries, logging information in the enquiry app, opening files, drafting/ sending out client care packs, checking client ID’s, sending out client closure letters & closing files once approved for closure.
Lauren studied A-Levels in Criminology, Psychology & Law from 2018-2020 gaining two B’s and a Distinction* respectively. She then went on to do a law degree at Sheffield Hallam University, achieving a 2:1 in her final exams in June 2024.
Outside of work, Lauren enjoys hiking/long dog walks, running and staying active and enjoy spending time with family/ friends. She also have a keen interest in different sports (including f1, women’s football and more recently golf).

Gemma Bradley is a skilled Motor Portal Claims Manager at PM Law, specialising in handling claims where liability has been admitted and the claim is valued at less than £25,000. With over two decades of experience at PM Law, Gemma has worked in various areas of the business, developing a deep understanding of the industry and its intricacies.
Gemma joined PM Law Ltd immediately after completing her education in the year 2000. Over the years, she has acquired extensive knowledge and expertise in the field of motor portal claims. Gemma’s experience and commitment to her work make her a valuable asset to the firm, ensuring efficient handling and resolution of claims.
As a Motor Portal Claims Manager, Gemma oversees a small team of handlers who also work with portal teams. Her leadership skills and expertise enable her to effectively manage the team’s workflow, ensuring timely and accurate handling of claims. Gemma’s experience and guidance provide invaluable support to her team, helping them achieve optimal results for clients.
Gemma firmly believes in delivering excellent client care and consistently strives to provide the best possible outcome for every client she assists. Lucy currently works as a Claimant Portal Case Handler for RTA claims. She has vast experience in this role, having joined PM Law in 2016.
Before joining PM Law in 2016, Lucy had already developed an in-depth understanding of the claims process in similar roles. Lucy has worked as a Claims Handler for an accident management company as well as a defendant Portal Case Handler. She uses the knowledge gained from her previous roles to provide a high-level of service to our clients.
Lucy was aware of PM Law before joining and knew it would be a good place to further develop her skills. She joined in 2016 and has taken full advantage of the positive and supportive office environment, taking any opportunity to learn from her experienced colleagues.
Lucy always works efficiently to get the best outcomes for her clients in a timely manner. She is an extremely reliable member of the team and we know that all of her clients will agree – when she says she’s going to do something, she will do it..
In her free time, Lucy really loves spending time with her family wherever possible.

Claire is a Senior Litigation Executive with over 27 years of experience in handling complex injury claims, including those related to Employer’s Liability, Clinical Negligence, and Industrial Diseases on behalf of Claimants.
Claire’s specific interest lies in Occupational exposures resulting in asbestos-related injuries and occupational cancers. She is a member of the Institute of Legal Executives and holds a BA LLB from the University of Cape Town. Additionally, she is a member of Apil. Having accumulated extensive experience over the years, Claire is committed to obtaining damages for her clients in cases of serious life-changing injuries or loss of life caused by exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace. She believes that assisting her clients with necessary care and compensation is a worthwhile job and enjoys the litigation process. Claire joined PM Law to undertake complex injury work and further develop her skills in this area.
Despite the challenges that her job poses, she remains dedicated to her role. In her free time, Claire enjoys walking in the countryside and watching South African rugby.

Susanne has worked in personal injury litigation since 1998, but formally qualified as a solicitor in 2008. In previous roles, she has dealt with landlord and tenancy disputes as well as housing disrepair claims. Susanne has also been a Compliance Officer for Legal Practice and Training Principal.
Susanne obtained her degree from Staffordshire University in 1996 and her Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Huddersfield University in 2007.
Susanne joined PM Law in 2016 on a temporary 3 month contract and is still here 7 years later – this highlights how highly regarded she is within the team. Achieving the best settlements for her clients is what keeps Susanne motivated. Susanne loves the ability to help them get back to the position they were in prior to the accident or, in other cases, helping them move forward in their lives with the tools to deal with the differences in their lives. Susanne’s clients and colleagues will always receive her unwavering support. She’s committed to doing her utmost to tackle issues head on and provide honest answers and feedback. When she gets time, Susanne enjoys holidays abroad and travelling to the Lake District with her husband. She also loves watching football and supports Chesterfield FC and Manchester United.

Melanie joined PM Law in 2013 after hearing about the firms reputation and seeing an opportunity to develop their legal skills while making a positive impact on client’s lives.
Melanie completed her Law degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2009. From here, she went on to complete her post graduate diploma in Legal Practice in 2010. Melanie then became a Paralegal/Litigator until securing a Training Contract at PM Law and qualified as a solicitor in 2021.
Melanie quickly felt part of the close-knit team in her department, allowing her to thrive and learn from the people around her. A passion for advocacy is what drives Melanie to achieve the best possible compensation for clients with serious and life-changing injuries. This also remains Melanie’s main goal – she takes great pride in assisting pursuing a successful personal injury claim. Melanie always goes the extra mile for her clients, providing clear and direct advice and avoiding legal jargon to avoid any confusion. Outside of work, Melanie plays competitive Crown Green Bowls for local teams and her county. They are also an avid fan of England Rugby Union and loves attending Twickenham to watch them play. In addition, Melanie is an active fundraiser for Macmillan and MND, with a particular focus on the Mel Evans MBE Foundation, which raises awareness for MND. To raise funds, she has run half-marathons, participated in photo shoots, and will soon be involved in a Strictly Come Dancing event.

Melissa is a Chartered Legal Executive who works in the Litigation Department at PM Law. She specialises in road traffic accident personal injury claims and deals with a variation of different litigated cases, including claims running the Part 7 and Part 8 process as well as MIB cases.
Melissa qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2015, having completed the CILEX course. She then began working in the Legal profession in 2008 before coming to work at PM Law in 2013.
Melissa really likes the service PM Law is able to provide to its clients. We’re big enough to provide a variety of services to clients all over the country, but still maintain the personal level of service you’d expect from a smaller firm. She gets great satisfaction from helping rehabilitate clients and helping them to achieve the settlements the deserve. Melissa is a true professional and sees client care as one of her main responsibilities. Her eye for detail is also a large part of what makes her so successful in her role. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys socialising with family and friends. She also has two young sons who she loves spending quality time with.

Richard is an experienced claims handler with a background in Industrial Disease, Personal Injury and Commercial Litigation. Richard also has experience in dealing with both fast track and multi track litigation.
Richard joined PM Law due to our forward thinking approach, who share his commitment in focusing on the needs of our clients. Richard has the necessary resources and environment to allow him to thrive and obtain the best results for our clients. Away from work, Richard has two sports mad children and can usually be found at various sport pitches around South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

James Rothwell is an experienced professional at PM Law, serving as the New Business Manager for personal injury and civil litigation matters. With over 20 years of experience in customer service environments, James brings a wealth of expertise in client engagement and satisfaction. His journey at PM Law began in 2016, initially handling financial mis-selling claims before transitioning to focus on new personal injury claims.
James has dedicated over two decades to providing exceptional customer service in various roles. In 2016, he joined PM Law, where he made an immediate impact with his customer-centric approach and knowledge of financial mis-selling claims. In recognition of his skills and dedication, James was promoted to the role of New Business Manager for personal injury claims and expanded his responsibilities to include civil litigation claims. His diverse background and expertise enable him to effectively manage the new business team and handle enquiries from both new and existing clients.
James finds great satisfaction in engaging with clients and assisting them with their enquiries. His friendly and approachable demeanour, combined with active listening skills, ensures that clients feel heard and understood. James believes in providing a high level of customer service, which involves not only addressing the immediate needs of clients but also offering open and honest advice to help them make informed decisions. His empathetic approach and dedication to client satisfaction contribute to building strong and lasting relationships with clients. Outside of work, James enjoys spending quality time with his family and socialising with friends. Marissa Sall
Marissa’s day-to-day role involves assisting fee earners with personal injury claims, which include employer liability and clinical negligence cases. Marissa has recently progressed to managing her own case load.
Marissa completed her LLB in 2020 and obtained an LLM in International Commercial Law in 2021 from Aston University. Marissa then also graduated from the University of Law in 2023 having completed her Legal Practice Course.
Marissa joined the PM Law Group because it’s a great supportive environment to learn which enables individuals to attain their full growth and potential. Marissa finds great satisfaction in engaging with different clients and claims on a day-to-day basis, as no two days are the same. Marissa strives to ease the legal process by offering high customer service, which involves offering open and honest advice to clients, allowing them to make informed decisions.

Jake primarily assists Susanne Daine in RTA litigation; however, Jake also helps and assists the whole team.
Jake graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a degree in Law and Criminology. Jake has also previously volunteered in a victim support agency.
When given the opportunity, Jake wanted to broaden his legal experience and had a big interest in Civil Litigation. Jake enjoys taking any stress off people when he can. He takes any workload he can off a member of the team to help keep everything organised and flowing as smoothly as possible. Jake likes helping clients and loves having a feeling of satisfaction.

Mia has just commenced her training to become a solicitor. Her first seat is in the Personal Injury Department, assisting in a variety of claims and recently managing her own case load.
Mia graduated from University with an LLB (Hons) with first class honours in Law and was honoured on the prestigious Deans List for exceptional achievement in all three years of her study.
Away from work, Mia is a keen horse rider and an avid reader in her spare team.

William’s day to day role consists of assisting the fee earners on the litigation team. This ranges from chasing outstanding documents and arranging medical appointments through to calling clients and explaining the litigation process. William’s position allows fee earners in our team to focus on the litigation side of the business.
William completed his LLB in summer of 2021 and graduated from the University of Sheffield in the summer of 2022. William is currently in the process of completing his LPC exams for which he hopes to finish in 2024.
William joined PM Law to help people who otherwise would be unable to help themselves with tricky legal situations. William loves the different challenges he faces on a day-to-day basis and the unpredictability of them.

Naomi joined the company in the Personal Injury department in 2006 as an office assistant after leaving college. She has had various different roles within this department and have been claims handling for many years.

Laura prodvides a comprehensive administrative secretarial service and assist in basic legal tasks for the Director/Fee Earners of PM Law (Specialist Claims) Limited including liaising with medical agencies, assisting with administration of cases, assisting with the preparation of witness statements, trial bundles and Court documentation and all other duties as and when required.
Laura has previous experience as a legal secretary within private client, corporate law and commercial property. She has also previously worked as an administrator for the NHS, where she gained her degree in Health & Social Care.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys cycling and spending as much time as possible with her family.

Cheryl is responsible for managing and delivering on the maximisation, recovery and distribution of all costs, disbursements and client compensation from, in the main, third party insurers on settlement of cases in line with PM Law and Union Line.
Cheryl joined the firm in 2004 as a Legal Costs Assistant and went on to complete her Level 3 Diploma in Management which helped her progress into her present role.
Cheryl is accountable for liaising with professional suppliers, mainly the primary medical agencies, to ensure accurate procession, negotiation and settlement of disbursements. She ensures that the managers and supervisors of the costs team deliver excellent levels of client service and communication throughout the progressions of their cases. Away from her busy role, Cheryl loves spending time with family and friends, watching football, listening to music and travelling whenever possible.

Carrie is responsible for running the Costs department within PM Law. Carrie ensures that legal costs and client’s settlements are recovered for Road Traffic Accidents, Employers’ and Public Liability as well as Clinical Negligence PI claims. Carrie also deals with any disputes from third parties in order to maximise costs recovery whilst working closely with the PI department and sending Statements of Costs to the Court for Trial.
Carrie started at PM Law in 2014 in the Accounts Department working closely with costs, to which Carrie joined their team as a costs administrator later on that year. Carrie then got her Diploma in Business and Administration NVQ level 3 before her promotion in December 2017 to Deputy Costs Supervisor. In December 2019, Carrie received her second promotion to Costs Supervisor and still remain in this role today.
Carrie enjoys working closely with her team and maintains a very good relationship with her colleagues. Clients and colleagues can expect a high level of service from Carrie, whether that be providing help with any queries, or with support and advice when needed. Outside of work, Carrie enjoys spending time with family and friends. Carrie also loves shopping and travelling.

Jenny is responsible for ensuring the effective and accurate recovery and accounting of Personal Injury damages and legal costs. Jenny also assists the Costs team with chasing the relevant parties on their caseloads.
Jenny joined the PM Law costs team in 2008.
Jenny enjoys working with her team and speaking with clients to give them clarity on cases. Jenny’s role ensures client that monies are received within the timeframes given. Clients can expect a really helpful service and any queries dealt with.
